GETTING STARTED

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class, to register and relax on your mat before class.

If it is your first time to class, please arrive at least 15 minutes before to complete a “Student

Health Declaration” form.

 

To preserve the tranquility of the studio and enhance everyone’s experience, please switch off your mobile phone or turn it to silent.

Please leave your shoes and belongings in the designated area by the door as you enter the class.

 

WHAT IF I HAVE ANY INJURIES OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS?

If you have any injuries or medical conditions please let us know before the class. We can adopt and modify most of the postures to suit you. Classes should help you strengthen and recover from an injury and can help with a lot of medical conditions.

 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

I have tried to make coming to class as easy as possible by providing complimentary yoga mats and blankets.

All you need to do is come along, relax and glow!

 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Wear stretchy or loose comfortable clothing and something warm to put on for relaxation. You do not need shoes or socks.

 

CAN I EAT BEFORE CLASS?

I suggest you leave at least 2 hours between eating and practicing yoga, as we will be twisting and bending your tummy! If you must eat, a light snack such as nuts, fruit or a yogurt is okay.

 

CAN I DRINK BEFORE CLASS?

Yes, stay hydrated before, during and after class.  Do bring a bottle of water for during and after class.

 

WHAT IF I’M NOT FLEXIBLE?

You do not need to be flexible to practice yoga. Increased flexibility will come with your yoga practice.

 

WHAT IF I’M PREGNANT?

Please let me know if you are pregnant, or become pregnant. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence. Once I know you are pregnant we can decide together on the next steps for you.

 

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HATHA YOGA?

Yoga has many benefits regardless of age, fitness or flexibility. It is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance. Regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains – including lower back pain  - depression and stress. Yoga gives you a wonderful glow from head to toe.

 

CAN I BRING MY CHILD?

My yoga classes are recommended for everyone 16 years and over. Anyone aged between 10 to 16 years old must have consent and attend with their parent or guardian. Maximum two children in an adults class. 

 

CAN I DROP INTO CLASS?

Yes, I do always offer limited drop in spaces for classes. It is highly recommended to book in advance as classes tend to book out a week in advance.
